I replaced the fuel pump about a month ago and all of a sudden my 40 has an overpowering fuel odor. I have not smelled this before. Any idea what the problem is? I mean it really smells terrible.

Is it leaking any where?? Also, check your oil....
also the gasket on bottom of carb...if it is seeping then it will get into your fresh air vents and stink like that as well.

Good one. Glenn and I came to the conclusion that its the gas that has such an odor. The station where I bought it from seems to have a lot more sulfur in it and that is what I was smelling. I know that because I went there one day to get some gas in my Prius (only twice a month) and smelled that odor and said what the the heck is that smell? Then the light bulb came on.
