@TRAIL TAILOR , what coil springs were you using for this kit? 80 series coils or an aftermarket set from the 80 or something else?
My 40 is currently linked out but I'm looking at coils vs coilovers and working through cost and pros/cons as well as what coils will fit.

Any MFG front 80 series coil and shock can be used. Just depends on what you want for height and weight.

This may have been discussed other places, but I came across this thread as I perused Mud over coffee this morning and it's easier to just ask...
Has this evolved into a "kit" for sale yet? Front and rear? Ball park pricing?
I frankensteined a coil conversion under one of my '40s 25 years ago. Was NOT pretty, but it was flexy as all hell and had a lot of promise for what it was. Ran it for a couple of years and while making changes and "upgrades" after I decided to put Rockwells under it I wound up dissatisfied with the project and never had the motivation to figure out how to make it right (as in rip it all out and start over with lessons learned and knowledge gained since then).
Jumping ahead a couple of decades and several projects since then...
Looking at what you doing has me remembering how much I liked the idea of coils under a '40 and thinking that maybe I don't need to design it all from scratch myself.
I am working my way toward building some oddball axles based on FJ80 beginnings to push 45 inch ags. This suspension you have got going on here might be a real nice way to attach it all to the '40 it is going under.
Anyway... still looking to sell this as a kit?

Mark, I do have a kit. I limit who I sell it too though. Main reason is the various angles and dimensions that much be factored in. It is not a plug and play solution. Most customers are wanting to stretch the wheelbase or try to turn it into a three link using my brackets.
So, I don't offer any instructions for the bracket kit. It is up to the end user to figure out their own geometry.
