I just called the guy, one owner, his parents bought it new, 1986, 57k miles.
Asking $4k, got him down to $3.5k on the phone.
That is 22re?

My gut tells me I should be ON this one.

If you don't I will, that's less than I paid for my Arizona truck with 195k on it!

Wait, didn't see the pic, looks rough for 3500 honestly.

Pass.

86 would be a 22re.....but 86 ain't a solid axle.

Yea it's not as clean as the description you gave me of yours. Just low miles.

Maybe he's got the year wrong, it's defiantly a solid axle though. What year was SA?

84-85. Could be carb'ed, but prolly not.

Yeah that doesn't appear to be anything like Joe's. That looks like a $1-2k 4runner. To be honest, I don't really consider the SA trucks all that desirable.

It did have a efi badge.
Why not so desirable on the SA oh wise one?

It has its advantages, but I almost consider it a wash in the "pro/cons" columns for IFS vs SA.

Other than the IFS itself the rest of the IFS truck is better. Better steering box, better rear axle, the option of a v6, etc... And SAS kits are pretty damn cheap now, come very complete, and they are pretty easy to install. Once you're done you'll have upgraded everything over a stock SA truck, better spring options, better steering, etc.

There are a million different ways to look at it. I guess I'm saying, I've seen a lot of people chase a SA truck past clean nice IFS trucks and end up in rusty old pieces of junk, its just not that big of deal IMO.

Why you shopping 4runners, Tim?

Bored, with a lil cash?

I wish it was boredom .........my illness of buying s*** with 4 wheels that i dont really need flares up once and a while. I'm on a pretty good year roll of bahaving myself.
I really do dig the old school graghics on this. If it didnt have as much rust I would seriously consider it. I agree with Joe, rough for the money.

while we're pimpin trucks for sale No conection to me but I have the number for a 1994 ext cab 4x4 blown motor, no title, $350. I have seen a cell pic, its red and looks to be in fair shape.
