I recently acquired a 2002 3rd gen 4Runner with 30,000 miles. I'm thinking of ideas of making it look aggressive. My neighbor has a black one with blacked out large tundra rims and red calipers. It looks sick. My 4Runner is in champagne, I'm racking my brain trying to figure out a nice rim and accessory combo that'd look good on the street and out in the field. Can you guys post some examples to help me?

ATX Teflon rims (Mojave, Chamber, etc.) always look good with the gold champagne color.

Unless there is a real need to replace the rims, I would stay with the factory alloys. I have all kinds of rock rash from basic wheeling in some tough areas in the SE USA.
Spend your money on armor, lockers and tires and most importantly recovery gear and a CB.

Good luck. :)

I picked up some LC rims that I will add to my rig once I get them painted. then i will hatve two sets of OEM rims. that is once I can afford a second set of tires. winter fun and summer fun tires.

the LC rims are 16x8 where as my stock 4r rims are 16x7. either way both look good with some new paint of my color choice and can be cheaper than buying after market.

although there are some sweet after market rims out there. but I need to spend funds else where like armor like said before.

happy shopping and good luck on the choices you have to make.

also I would do what YOU want to do as for your neighbor is just for idea's. and of course trolling the forums and have fun dam it

I always liked thefergs old 4runner he had!
If I recall a Sonoran lift, LC rims, ARB front bumper, hood blackout, I think he swapped in a factory e-lock rear out of a limited he bought, the rear bumper I forget now and so on
