Matt - Iam right with you on the GM pump, I think it would make life very easy not using the toyota pump. I have a full 3FE, not a 2F+3FE block, so we have the alt running on the drivers side. So we will have to fab some type of bracket.

Maybe we can use the smog pump bracket and modify it? Or at least use the same hole it uses to mount to the block.

Not sure that bracket would work with this pump

Why did you run the extra yellow wire? The connector under it at the temp sensor (dangling in the picture) is for the temp sensor...

That Dangling sensor is running into the 3FE harness to the ECU. I was too lazy to dig back into the wiring harness and track down that wire. Randy is working on a custom made 3FE/2F.

Now that I know the gauge in the dash and the temp sending unit are working, maybe I'll find where that wire goes to the ECU and tap into it there. ;)

3fe 45 lv

i just found your thread so i figured i would tag it so i can refer back to it while i do my 3fe into a 45 lv, everything looks great.

Thanks, I've never been taged before. ;)

Today I put on a rear step that I also bought from Hadley, and added the fold down reflector step from my old pal SeaKnight. ( Lee - I owe you a beer )

Think I would get hooked up on it too often :hillbilly:

Mark,

The temp sender wire does not go to the ECU. It goes to the dash gauge. It could be used instead of the yellow wire you ran, or it doesn't matter.

Got a little more paint and Body work done on the cruiser. When I was picking up my FJ62 from a new mechanic I've been using for my A/C system, I was driving the 3FE40. He noticed how crappy the top looked, and we got in a conversation about painting it white. Then he told me that his family owned a paint and body shop, and he was a paint and body man for years.

Well one thing lead to another and the next thing I knew I handed him the keys to the 3FE40 and said - OK, Paint my top! and can I pick it up on Friday. (It was Wed).

"Sure, he said - I just painted my entire Dodge pickup here under my car port using a Industrial Maintenance Enamel, and I have enough to do your truck - how does $150 sound?"

He sanded it, filled some low spots, and shot it with one heavy coat. I think it was $150 bucks well spent!:bounce2::bounce2::flipoff2:

Gee Mark, nice badge on the grill. Where did you get that idea? :grinpimp:

You know what they say.... Imitation is the best form of flattery!

I wonder what kind of badge Matt is going to come up with...Does he even have enough room on that front grill????:D:D:D

The white seems a tad bright, but it's close enough to Cygnus White for me.

I have been looking for somewhere to laser cut the ETI badge but still working on the design, then have it Chrome plated:grinpimp:

I just returned from a personal inspection. Good thing I wore my shades or I'd have been blinded by the reflection off the top. Everything looks great Mark. Except, uhh, not so sure about those rock guards ;)

Sea Knight - thanks for stopping buy and testing out my new addition to the truck, I think it's the most useful thing I've added yet!!!:beer::beer:

PO - had put in a duel gas tank door, but lost the keys, so Sea knight and I popped the lock, and then found a use for that empty spot behind the door.

Because Pappy was making fun of my giant oversize wiring harness coming out of the glove box, and after reading Rezarf's wonderful writeup of a Aux fuse box..

I decided to install a Aux fuse box in the glove box, 150 Amp Breaker, and a Stainless Steel Tray I scored on Ebay.
