man-a-fre 4 plus sliders

I made some progress, and bolted on the Man-a-fre 4plus sliders. They have the same lines ad the OEM steps, but the step is a tad shorter.

Wheels are cool, man.

New hubs

I finally got a hold of the proper long body asian hubs, and decided to put them on tonight. The are a bit longer than the regular Asian hubs. Iam not sure of the correct years, but the this 77 land cruiser had the longer inners and hubs.

Kudos to Tucker74 for for finding these for me! And filling me in about this, I was going crazy trying to figure out what I had done wrong and why the regular Asisn won't fit.

A quick picture of all three style hubs.

Carpet and Second skin

Yesterday I received my order of Second Skin Damplifier Pro, and began to install it and the Cruiser Solutions carpet kit I got for x-mas.

The Damplifier is peal and stick, and went in easy, the carpet kit was another story, lot of trimming and pulling, and I ended up using some of the 3M adhesive I had left over from the headliner.

It made a huge difference..just thumping on the panels sounds quiet. I'll let you know once I get the top back on and take a drive if it was worth the effort.

Finished up the front today... Word of wisdom....wear gloves, I've got little cuts all over my hands from the "Foil" side of this stuff.

Can't water get under that stuff?

Unless your going to run a rear heater you can plug and cover the orginal heater hose access hole.......... you won't need it with the Vintage...... plus need to relocate the dizzy vent filter :wrench:as it will be in the way.......

Looks Good Man!

I don't think the vintage air is hitting the Dizzy filter.. I test mounted the unit last night.

I'll check it again. -MMW

Hey bubeleh, can you show us what you are talking about? I removed my rear heater and the PO cut the tub where those holes are just behind the trans tunnel hump. I'm debating whether I can patch it with straight steel or if I need a panel from CCOT to include those holes.......

Alex,
What year is your FJ40? On mine, there where two bolt holes holding down the rear heater to the floor. Then the 5/8 hoses from the heater ran on top of the floor, under the console, along the side of the tranny hump - Then thru a two rubber holes in the fire wall that came out under the water valve that the "Warm Pull" Knob on the dash controlled.

The only holes I needed to plug was the firewall pass thru for the hoses.

Hey. Mine's a 76. Those holes in the floor are for the gas tank lines, methinks......

Hey Mark, your buildup thread has dropped all the way to page 5. That's just not right.

Did you get the new Pro-Car seats installed? How about that chrome air filter housing? Come on, we're in withdrawal....need more bling photos, now.

Here is a crappy photo of the PS seat installed. I went ahead and bought the set brackets. Procar did a good job at designing the brackets, and the bolt and threads are even metric. ;) The brackets even have threaded seat belt mounting tabs. It's really a drop in solution.
