I'm working on a project to mount a magsafe puck on this, but once I modeled a file that could replace the ash tray (and it's frame) I thought other people might have other uses for it (switches, mounts, etc).

So, sharing here.

I'll update with the magsafe version when it's done, if anyone wants to print that as well.

This file replaces the ashtray, and the housing it slides into. You just remove, and slide this in-- rides in on the stock tracks and clicks in with the stock latches, no hardware required.

All 3 attachments are the same file, just different formats depending on what's useful to you.

Pretty low print quality and using my cheapest/ugliest filament (as I'm currently rapidly iterating it), but from the front it follows the contours. Obviously a blank panel isn't overly useful-- sharing this so people can put whatever they want here.

From the back, you can see it slides on the factory tracks, clips to the factory clips, and centers on the factory centering tab. You can ignore those half rings/clips on the back, they're not in the model I shared-- part of my MagSafe project.
