I'm swaping my f motor and 3 speed to a 350 and sm465, this web site has taught me everything I know (soa, disk brakes, and power steering) but it's not real informative on motor swaps. I know the rear diff and drive shaft wont be in line, but what other problems am I gonna face. Does some one make pre-fabed motor mounts or do I have to come up with something. If anyone knows of a write up on how this is done it would be very helpfull. thanks

I just put a 350 in my 60, I kept the stock tranny though, got my motor mounts from MAF, the rear diff on yours should be inline if you keep the stock tcase. if you don't like that idea, you could get a 60 tcase for some added strength, and/or the adapter from sm465 to LC tcase

Advance Adapters is the "usual' source for motor mounts and for the "back of t-case" mount, but I'm personally not a fan of either and would make custom if I were doing it again.

If you have the 10-spline output SM465, I "should" have aluminum plate adapters available in a week or less....

See the motor swap links in the tech section...you'll find that no two are the same, since each owner tends to personalize things a bit.

SOR has a V8 conversion book that you can buy seperate from their kit. I haven't used it personally, but at $5 it's bound to at least have some value for the cost. Also, just looking at what they have in the way of parts offers many options for converting either some/all of your components. I'd check out the 2004 catalog or their web site.
