This is our annual WINTERY MIX trail ride.....at Uwharrie Forest OHV area.

We usually go up on Friday as always...camp at the Badin Group Camp and wheel with the group from ONSC on Saturday.

Friday is usually dinner on your own though last year I made venison hamburger helper....well with some wood mixed in by our resident lumberjack. LOL

Trail rides on Saturday with Breakfast and Lunch on own...

Dinner that evening is hosted by ONSC at the Monk Family Barn...

Sunday some run trails...some drive home.

If enough interest I will rent the Badin Group Camp as wife likes the hot showers there when it is cold out.

Let me know if you plan on attending....so far I have:

Attendees
Brock+1
Jamie TRD Sparks+1

Not Attending
RKING
BBQBOY
EXCESSIVE

I will be there. Should be fun. I just don't know what bad Santa gift I will bring. Let me know about the camping, i don't care if we have showers at the camp site or not.

Doesnt look like anyone is going to make this scheduled run this year even though has been on calendar the entire year since last years run on the same weekend.

If that is case then I will cancel it as a Swamp Fox Run as no since paying for the Group Camp site if nobody is showing except myself. If someone goes at last minute and I am not up there...camping is available on the grounds around the Monk Family Barn...please check with ONSC to ensure there is room before assuming though as they really like a good headcount for room, trail ride assignment, and of course the food and festivities Saturday evening.

If anyone wants to go please make it known NOW! I have heard from Jamie at SPARKS TOYOTA as interested but nobody else is planning on going to my knowledge...if they are it has not been stated here in the thread or others in forum. Speak up.....but I need definite...not maybe this late in schedule.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Well that stinks. I was hoping and planning to go but I goit a good catering job that weekend that I couldn't pass up.

Sorry for killing the plan. They knew at work for two months I was going to be gone but I have to work. Hopefully we can plan another trip or I will just have to go another time with another group

maybe you can get your run to GULCHES going for those that said they wanted to go last time...as it does not shut down for winter. I went on MLK day actually two or three years ago...but call first as he was going to be closed and opened for us special. Unfortunately nobody from club went that said they would so was just me and some other random guy that showed up. LOL

s*** I planned ahead and s*** just comes up. I would be willing to take another cruise up to Urharrie when it opens back up,

Plenty of room at the Farm... Will be good to see you again Brock!

I have been getting the run around at work whether or not I have to work saturday or not. May be last minute if I can go

I hope some of you flatlanders can make it next week!

Brock, if your coming for sure I will hold the private spot way in the back near the well. We built it like a NP tent pad but it also has water and power. My BIL thinks we party too late so he wanted to be away from us rowdies when we have our barn parties. I think you would enjoy the location.

Also, if anyone has a portable shower, there is a hot and cold outside faucet on the backside of the barn that could be used to work the shower. I have plenty of hoses that could reach wherever it was placed; I just don't know how those things work. Let me know if there's interest.

Michael, I was hoping you would bring some of that world famous BBQ but being self employed, I understand, in this F'd up economy. And William, you have no excuse so come on up! Anyone that can make it though, please do! Would love to have you!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Kenny

Kenny, as always your hospitality is without reproach. Thanks for the offer of the tent pad....if I come it will be last minute decision now as things keep coming up but thanks again for the offer. It is much appreciated.

Spoke with Sparks and he is still a go he seem interested in doing the campsite like we did last year. Can you forward me the information so I can reserve a campsite. I will include you since I know you will come but I will get a large site since I am not showering

Sweet!!! My wife and I are definitely going to be there. Sorry for not getting you on the phone man, busy day at work. I'm in charge of 2 depts there now and a lot of people call me all day long to ask me about parts so my guys try to intercept all those calls haha.

Have fun guys.....wish I was going but got things I have to do and have committed on earlier when nobody was talking about going.

I think LexTech still wanted to go as well....

Have fun and take pictures...

Boo! I'm still going, I ain't scared.

no that is one across street. I used the Badin Group Camp the past three years....I think it is $40 per night and there are three sites...A, B, C.

We have also stayed at Arrowhead which also has showers and bathrooms with individual sites for $18-20 per night.....I used to get the sites in Upper Loop so we could all stay near each other but still have privacy. Check both out.

TRDSparks and I wheeled Dickie bell and Dutch John in Urharrie. A good time and some good challenging trails. I will try and post a few Photos and videos when I have some more time.
