ok. fair enough. I asked if you had 4 just for the kicks, not because I was interested. I just had a few minutes of time to spend asking banal questions. (sarcasm)
I think if you post something for sale and a person asks questions regarding that posting, that implies interest, whether you answer the same day or a week later.
In any event, thanks for your time dude"

So, you're selling your house and first guy asks how many bedrooms. Second guy says I'll buy it. You tell second guy he has to wait until first guy is done asking questions?

except, you're selling 2 wheel spacers dude, not a house. And you took days to answer.
I didn't make the etiquette rules here, but most of us seem to follow them. Most, not everyone.
cheers!

Days? I responded to your inquiry about the quantity in exactly 1 hour and 18 minutes. In which time you went radio silence from Tuesday at 7:39 pm till Friday at 3:11 pm. In my calander that is days. You couldn't be bothered to respond until someone else showed interested and the deal was struck.

Go troll somewhere else.

Friend, I think you better reconsider your position. The "etiquette rules" don't require a seller to hold his offering indefinitely. He answered your one question in the negative and you went silent for 2.5 days. Just how long was he supposed to wait for you? Was I somehow wrong for offering to buy at that point or is there some sort of unwritten time that one is supposed to wait? It doesn't matter if it's a set of spacers, a house, or anything else. The "rules" are pretty much the same. If you want something you better buy it. If not, you risk missing the deal when someone who doesn't vacillate comes along. So, don't get all snippy and start lecturing others on the rules. You screwed up. Simple as that. Besides, it's just a pair of spacers for goodness sake.

Hello Bossman friend. Although I appreciate your input on this matter, and I celebrate your eloquence as you elegantly put it, "it's just a pair of spacers, for goodness sake", to my knowledge, nobody asked for your expertise and well informed opinion regarding the unwritten rules and other facts of life, so if you don't mind, find another place to share your wisdom and stop wasting our time on a pair of spacers.

Okay Mao, it doesn't look like we are ever going to be beer drinking buddies after all so I'll go ahead and put it to you straight. When you post a public comment like "I didn't make the etiquette rules here, but most of us follow them. Most, not everyone." You impugn the integrity of both Lowrecoil30 and myself. That, my young friend, is not cool and you should expect to be called out for it. It is clear who screwed up in this case and you only make matters worse for yourself by adding insult to injury. In the kindest way possible, I ask you to accept your error with dignity and cease your baseless attack on Lowrecoil30 and me. No, you didn't ask for my opinion. I offer it to you completely for free. ;)

Spacers still for sale? It's $40 each right? I'm local and will come pickup. But can you hold them for me until next weekend? I gotta scrape up the cash.

Oh, and I only need one.

You can sell the other one to whichever guy is first in line behind me.
