Since this an assembly, I decided to post this here:
Depending upon the amount of demand for parts, I'm thinking about parting out a 2UZ-FE engine I acquired.
Here's what I've got: The truck was a flood truck, but I don't have any idea how much water it got. What I DO know is that, while 99% of the electrics in the truck work fine (windows, door locks, mirrors, dash, under seat blower, hvac blower, turn signals, lights, center diff lock rear diff lock, etc.), the throttle body looked bad and when I drained the oil, there was evidence of water in the sump (hard to tell how much). That being said, I removed all of the plugs, and the engine turns freely by hand tool.
SO, does anyone ever need 2UZ parts? The engines are so darn bulletproof, I don't know whether people look for parts / accessories off of them or not. I've sold 2F and 3FE parts before, but this is the first 2UZ I've seen not being offered as a complete engine. Just let me know if you need something, and if this looks to be a worthwhile endeavor, I'll probably part it out.
Thanks!
