2RZ and 3RZ wire harness interchangeability (1 Viewer)

Looking to someday swap a 3RZ into The Mule, since I want more power, and still want to keep the four cylinder frenzy rolling.
I've researched 2JZ, 5 and 7 MGE, and 1KZ swaps, but I think the 3RZ's the most practical (mates to the r150, same footprint as the 22R, still really economical motor) and I'd like to go ahead and start playing with a wire harness so I can get the most frustrating aspect done, but I've hit a snag: I can only find 2RZ engine harnesses. Will the 2RZ harness fit a 3RZ motor, or did the step up lead Toyota to reorganize the entire electrical setup?

I'm not so sure that the 3RZ mates to the R150, W59 is the 5 speed that came behind it.
 
yeah, I'd read that MC was selling bellhousings for the R150 to 3RZ, but it looks like they've taken it down now. Maybe I'll be better off with the w59.
It also looks like the 2RZ is pretty much the 2WD pickup's answer to the 3RZ.

I don't really see what could be different in the wiring harness.....but I love to get things wrong when I assume I know what I'm talking about. :D
 
I'm not at all familiar with ORS, what're they?
I appreciate the suggestion, and if you may have a rough estimate of a price, that'll give me a target for saving/budgeting.
The more I think about it, the more, realistically, a 3RZ swap seems to be the better option for now, at least until the 1KD comes down in price, and its alot cheaper than building a killer 22R.
 
Cool, thanks for the heads up.
It sucks to see a good shop close its doors, but automakers and stealerships are making it hard for the average joe do do things on his own these days.
right now, it's looking like the date for a possible purchase may be a ways off, the "minor leak" in my rear axle seal just turned into swollen brake shoes and brake fade... back to Yodaman for more work! I thought I could squeeze by until next paycheck...
 
You know you may save your self some pennies if you have a local boneyard.

I do, but they never seem to have Tacos, just trucks and 3VZ Runners right now... I keep hoping about stumbling across a fairly non-hacked Tacoma out there in fair shape.
