I installed this a few months ago and it has been working out really well for me. I don't usually have more than two passengers in the rear seat so it hasn't been an obstacle for anyone as yet. And then again, easy to remove if a third person does have to squeeze in. Just pull the pin and lay it in the cargo area.

Here is what the bracket looks like:

To place the mounting bracket just loosen up the seat screws and lift the end of the seat up and place the bracket over the floor mount. The seat holds it down when re-attached.

As it worked out, I had a little room left in the back so I can fit a strap through to hold down my daily carry recovery bag.

The bracket is very sturdy. This is a 5 lb. extinguisher and no rattles or movement at all.
Eventually I am going to get another bracket to place in the passenger side foot well on the hump just under the AC unit for times when I have the seats in the folded up position or completely removed. I looked into that and the only issue is access to the underside for fasteners. Might have to use some type of molly bolt or nut-sert from the cabin side.

Very nice Write up!! Did u make that bracket?

Yes, made the floor bracket out of 3/16 bar stock; overkill but I had it on hand. The front angle is 1/8 thick x 3/4.
