Actually Bertha suffered some carnage at Mountainside ORP a couple weekends ago with the Georgia Full Size Jeep Club. MSORP 08-2009 pictures by BMThiker - Photobucket

:whoops: Shattered the slip yoke on the rear driveshaft when the axle hopped on a steep climb. Did I mention that this happened in the parking lot, before we even got on the trails

videos here

Now waiting on new 1310 yokes with u-bolts to arrive from Tom Wood's this week. :wrench: We thought we might upgrade to 1350s, but pricing and availability became an issue.

Try to get one of the hats with it. "My Shaft is a Woody"
What a hoot.

UPDATE, got the new yokes from Tom Woods and discovered that the tcase yoke is thicker walled. Splines match, overall height/length is good, but the wall of the tube is twice as thick. It won't fit into the seal in the back of the tcase. I think the quickest solution would be to have a machine shop lathe it down to the right outer diameter. I can give them the old one to take measurements. I don't think they make a seal that will fit this new yoke in the NP208 tcase.

let tom woods know as well so he can be sure to make a correction....most vendors like this type of constructive feedback. Glad you are getting her back together... :D

He may know where to get a seal that works.

Y'all were right. Tom looked up the seal, gave Kitty the part number and she picked one up at NAPA.

Then I'm going to see the doc about new glasses,

I should be fixed by beach time!:hillbilly:

Grandma...is that you?

C'mon Rick. 40? If you're feeling old at 40 you might as well take the gas pipe.
If you're feeling old now you don't EVEN want to see 60.
