Can anyone tell me what the nominal oil pressure should be for a 2L-TE ( 3L head ) at idle (warm) and at road speed ( 2000 to 2500 RPM)? Thanks.....................................1978HJ45

Can anyone tell me what the nominal oil pressure should be for a 2L-TE ( 3L head ) at idle (warm) and at road speed ( 2000 to 2500 RPM)? Thanks.....................................1978HJ45

From what I have seen,most engines have similar oil pressure specs . Minimums of 5-10 psi at idle and 35psi + at 2500.
At 2500 its important for an engine to maintain the pressure for a minute or so.
New engines could be double those figures
