How difficult to put a 2f in a 1965 FJ45 and keep the column shift? I have searched but am having no luck finding someone that has done this.

with the 3spd pretty easy, just bolt that 3spd bellhousing and transmission to the back of the 2f and go.. if you want to use the 4speed and or 4 speed bellhousing, not sure it will work.. Just keep your 3spd bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, clutch fork, mounts, transmission etc and go..
use the existing bellhousing mounts unless you want to flip the fork and slave to the pass side. I can't recall if the f bellhousing has the provision for the fork pivot on the pass side or not. .
