I was wonder how the rest of you guys that run 24v rigs pwr your audio decks. I have a 24-12 v converter to run the deck that's turned on only by the ignition but i'm curious as to how you get a constant 12V source to keep the deck memory goin. I know it doesn't draw a lot of current but i'm concerned that the converter will draw enough current to drain the batteries over a short(relatively) period of time if i have it wired directly to it. I'm just curious as to how else ppl have had theirs done.

do a search in the 24v diesel section. I have a 24 to 12 converter that balances the load and it is always energized.

I forget the brand, I believe it is Canadian and has "Solar" as part of the name. I don't have the vehicle at hand so can't check it for you.

The other option is to take 12v taped off of one bat, then use an equalizer to remove the issue of imbalanced bats. You have continual 12V when the truck isn't running, plus the ability to have spike drains above the capacity of a converter (MC hammer lays down a fat beat on you 4 dual voice coil 15" subs.)
