Although the 12 vdc PUMA is a ruggedly built air compressor and easy to order off eBay, the PUMA with a 24 vdc motor is not commonly available.

I have several PUMA PD-1006 compressors with a ¾ hp 24 vdc motor for sale. The 24 vdc PUMA comes with a screw on air cleaner, a 6 litre (1.5 US gallon) pressure tank, pressure gauge, pressure regulator with its own gauge, pressure relief safety valve, tank drain, a Quick Connect and 10 gauge electrical cable and battery clips. Most people bolt the PUMA in their truck and wire it to the battery and use a 25’ flexible hose from the supplied Quick Connect.

Air up times for two common large tire sizes are as follow:

  • 35 x12.5 R15 MTR = from 16 to 42 psi in 2.5 minutes
  • 315/70 R16 MTR = from 18 to 44 psi in 3.0 minutes
There are less expensive 24 vdc compressors available but they are much slower. The bigger 24 vdc compressors available are more expensive ($500 and up) and none to my knowledge come with a tank. The tank allows the compressor to run before you start and as you move from one tire to tire. A tank-less compressor only works when it is connected to a tire. The PUMA 12 vdc has good reviews on the Mud board. The PUMA 24 vdc has a little bigger cylinder head than the 12 vdc PUMA.

If you have 24 volt electrical system and want to move up the 24 vdc PUMA please send me a PM. The turn-around time will be about 45 day. They are $350.00, including shipping (US & Can). Please send me a PM if you are interested.

Below are a few pictures of the 24 vdc PUMA and one of my PUMA installed behind my ARB fridge.

Thanks for looking.
