Hi all! I have a new 2011 Trail Teams and am looking for a lift or leveling kit. I have researched here and still don't have the answers I need, so thought I would post.

I am looking to at least level my FJ. Planning on keeping the stock TRD rims and BFG's for a while and want a more agressive look. I won't be off road much at all. I use it for hunting, so I may encounter some muddy or snowy roads, but realistically, it probably won't see much more than asphalt. I really want to keep the stock ride, not have suspension noise or squeaks and not have to worry about the lift/leveling kit causing me problems down the road.

Let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance!

check out some of the sites members talk about and you can find your lift or leveling kits, try slee or metal tech or any of the others out there

From what you've stated, you are a candidate for a spacer lift, as much as it pains me to say that.

The Toyota Trail Team ran all the events they participated in with a spacer lift on the front so they could run 285/75/16 tire/wheel combo. They did this to prove that the FJC was very capable right off the showroom floor, running as stock a set-up as they could.

You'll find many options on ebay, with ToyTech and others offering "top loaded spacers". I don't believe I've ever recommended one before but your honest description of your intended use makes it pretty clear you'll be fine with it. I'd normally say that going with an OME or Ironman suspension upgrade would be your best bet but, considering your description, a simple front spacer is probably your best solution...

Mtb, thanks for the recommendation. Any special concerns I should have about this? Parts that may wear more quickly due to this spacer lift? I really appreciate your recommending what you honestly think fits what I need.
