U.S. won't get 2011 Ford Ranger | detnews.com | The Detroit News
Leave it to Ford to be the first to admit defeat in the hands of Toyota. They know they can't stand a chance against a Tacoma in the US, so they are going to kill it after next year and offer a brand new pickup in every other country.
They claim sales are down on the Ranger because people would rather spend a little more and drive an F-150. Or maybe sales are down because it's a crappy truck, and they really don't know how it would sell in the US. I blame Obama, they are trying to limit the amount different models that don't get 30 mpg so they can meet the new CAFE rules he has imposed. It's only a matter of time before we loose all the other all-purpose rigs in exchange for mini-vans.
At least by then we will be able to import diesel 70 series and 80 series rigs. 2016- A 1HZ 80 Series for me!
