I've found local 2008 LX 570 $26K 133,000 with minor accident history. Dealer offers warranty for additional $.
Via shipped from TX 2010 LX 570 $33.5K (inc shipping) 77,000. (edit this one sold, not to me) Just a 1 mth warranty, with option to purchase extended plan, which isn't bumper to bumper and might not include AHC.

Is there a compelling reason in the model years differences between 2008 and 2010? Is that darn AHC going to crop up on the 2008 soon/now?

For reference, 2003+ 100s in my area are 13K - 20K+ (mileage varies, price doesn't)

What's this I hear that you can't put sliders on an LX 570?

Hope I'm in the right forum for this discussion. . .

Finally - if you're selling one of these less than $32K drop me a PM.

To address the first part of your post - given the pedigree and longevity of these vehicles, I would pass on one with an accident history.

This isn't the best forum for this discussion. Maybe the mods can shoot this over to the 200 tech forum.

2010s include bluetooth audio streaming, and air conditioned seats.

AHC failures (if maintained) seem to be more mileage dependent than age. But there are many 200k examples in the 100 series and the 200s are supposedly more robust.

Sliders can be installed on LXs, but require acquiring Toyota mouldings to keep the truck looking good.

Good info thanks. I like having bluetooth streaming, and can give that once wrecked local a pass.

So now I'm looking 2010 to 2012 I guess, though I can be tempted by a partially or fully built earlier 200 model in good nick.

FYI
For Bluetooth streaming I believe it only works with Android Devices in 2010, at least it won't work in my 2010 LX with an iPhone.

I wonder if it will work on my windows phone. Yeah. I know.

The mouldings are just beauty panels. For $800 I'll pass - the area they cover is high, up above the body, in matching painted steel, and the side steps are going back on when I sell anyway. Being color matched steel it looks fine, but gives a big improvement in clearance.

I'm still looking. For reference - unbuilt usual miles (150Kish or less?) in low $20,000s. Built can be more, but within reason. My use case is . . . sliders? Maybe a mild lift . . .? I don't have a strong preference LC or LX for my use case.

LOTS of people want a clean 200 in the low $20s, but there aren’t many out there especially with clean stock 100s going for low to mid $20s. You’ll be looking for a long time unless you’re ok with less than perfect history (rust, accidents, spotty service, etc.) and/or higher miles.

Oh, you're right. I actually don't care too much about shiny paint, but solid mechanicals and history are important. I don't expect a miracle, but I also don't want a bunch of folks to think I'm looking for a $35k 2010 with 70k miles. That is a perfectly good marketable vehicle, but not what I'm after. As I learn more I'm focusing the search.

I've seen a 2009 LX sell for $22k, 177k miles with full history (5k on the dot full synthetic oil changes etc). Missed that one by a couple hours. It was from a rust state, but that's one of the tradeoffs I'd likely make.

I'm also looking nationwide, as my locality has very limited selection.
