When are the 2009 FJC's coming around? Any updates on them?

Thanks!

What are you expecting?

Will there ever be a convertible option?

That would be cool.

They would have to change a LOT to retain the structural integrity. And of course the implementation of a roll bar...it would look VERY different...

...not really expecting anything...just wondering.

If I could have any changes from smallest to most drastic, I would ask for:

1) Better Side Mirrors
2) More color options
3) 4 Full Doors
4) Diesel, baby!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, realistically, I just haven't heard any whispers...good or bad.

Diesal is incredibly unlikely with the prices, and Toyota and every other Japanese maker is getting into hybrid\full electric engines. 4 Doors, no, we'll be like the H3 and that will take the FJ-40 tradition away, we were lucky enough to get 2 suicide doors. What's wrong with the side mirrors? O.o

I would love a ragtop FJ Cruiser!

I bet in a few years, Mr T might comes out with one.

I bet in a few years we won't have a gasoline or diesel engine in the FJ, it will be full electric. Why? Because electric of course has killer "mpg" (even though there are no gallons) well technically mpw, and electric motors can produce FAR more torque than a gas or diesel engine. I'd expect to see a hybrid of a full-electric FJ before we see a rag-top option FROM toyota (not some off-side dealer mod)

side mirrors work great.....if you know how to adjust them properly and then practice a little.

change name to FJ Landcruiser to shut up the naysayers....LMAO :D :D

Brock-

You're right- mirrors work great. I never had any complaints. Just towed a 4800 pound tandem axle trailer 1600 miles. No problem and 15 mpg.

As far as the naysayers.... what? Other Landcruiser owners giving the FJ a hard time? Who ever heard of such a thing.

I don't know what they are talking about.

One thing that should be changed by the time the '09's roll out is the FENDER APRON redesign with the integration of the brace to prevent cracking.

Of course we'll have to wait about another year to see if this fix worx!! By that time I should be close to warranty expiration and will decide to have the front of my truck torn up or not.
