Good afternoon gentlemen, was hoping to get a little help with our GX 470. Son was idling in the driveway, thing just cut-off. Gas was low, but not empty. Started back up, he pushed the accelerator, nothing happened, died. Now it won't start at all.
Turn the key and it gives a single click, no crank at all, like the starter isn't getting engaged. Battery tested good at autozone, wiggled all the connections. I need to check the grounds I believe, but not sure where they are. I see the one to the body directly next to the battery. He's run it kinda low on fuel (teenager) recently, I'm wondering about the filter being clogged, but I'd think I'd get an actual crank if that was the case?
I saw a thread in here where someone was talking about a neutral switch of some kind, and that if that was the problem the thing would crank/start if I had it in neutral, no dice.
Other than finding the grounds and checking them, what would be some other things to look into? My scan tool isn't working, bought a new one but unless the problem threw a code then it isn't gonna tell me s***, right? Especially if I can't get the thing cranked?
