I purchased this motorcycle from Pro Italia in 2011 with 7872 miles, then sold it to my meticulous Dad with 9250 miles on it, He rode it almost everyday and put the remaining milage on the bike, he is a retired motorcycle tech and has always owned Ducati’s, he is a master when setting and adjusting the Desmo valve system. He had the first Ducati Monster ever in the US way back in 1993 and has owned and loved his ducati’s ever since.
Anyway I bought it back from him about a year ago, I just do not ride it much at all as I am away far to much.
This bike is very special as it is the last of the air-cooled Multistrada’s, it is the S model that is more desirable as it is the top of the line model with premium parts. The bike is very light compared to the new water cooled Multistrada’s, handles very well and is powerful, the newer bikes are very complicated and heavy compared to this light weight nimble bike.
Includes a pile of receipts and hand written maintenance records.
Everything you see in the photos comes with the bike, it is ready for any road trip if you want to fly into Flagstaff and ride it home. The heated grips work very well.
The only problem I know of is as follows. Sometimes when I turn the key on to start the bike the engine won’t respond to the starter button, all I do next is turn key to off position then right back on again and the bike starts just fine, it is a known issue and a good number of these bikes have this issue, it is related to the security system not recognizing the presence of the key. This does not happen that often but I need to mention it. Other than that the bikes runs very strong and has been 100% reliable for us.
