Hello,
Searched but could not find an answer.:meh:

I have a stock (not lifted) daily driver 2001 Prado, which needs new tires.

Currently has 265/70/16's.

Found a set of 235/85/16's for a great price.

Compared tire dimensions on a website and found the new tires are just over 1" larger diameter.

Can anyone tell me if these 235/85/16's will fit without the need for spacers?:meh:
I do not do any serious off-roading, just the usual gravel/dirt mountain roads.

Thanks.

Hello Amigo!

I had 235/85 on my Prado with no suspension lift and no problems. I love skinny tires!!

Now I have suspension with the same tires and perfect!

Cheers

Here is what the tag on my 'new' 1998 says:

The tires that are on it seem to fill the wheel wells nicely (although they are garbage tires) They are 275/70R16s

The rims I want to use are from an earlier Prado I think...

The old tires on these rims are 235/85R16s

Based on the posting above, I think I will go for the 235/85R16 size.
