Hello all!

I own a 2001 Land Cruiser and have been trying to decide if I want to trade up or convert it to a more “off road” capable vehicle. I would like to get suggestions about items that I can on to my Cruiser or modify to make my vehicle more capable.

In particular I am looking for suggestions on a high quality aftermarket “bush bumper” that does not require removing the original bumper, and if possible wraps a little around the front to protect the sides.

Any other advice or suggestions on where to purchase or have modifications made would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

The bumper or Brush Guard you describe is often referred to as a "damage multiplier" on this forum. Do a search for damage multiplier for many threads. Basically, if you add a brush guard and then get into a minor front-end collision, the guard will push back and destroy your hood, quarter panels, radiator etc.

An off-road replacement bumper is a better idea. Slee Offroad will have one to market soon, or you could look at the ARB.

Go to Sleeoffroad.com - Toyota SUV Off-Road Outfitters for a complete listing of after market accessories for your 100 Series Land Cruiser.
