Just wondered if anyone had experience towing a 25 ft Air Stream or equivalent trailer
gross 7300? Wondered how was the towing experience? Aftermarket hitch equalizer? Think the hitch wt is 700. Some have said putting wt on the back of the cruiser really drops the back. All sorts of questions..ha! Thanks in advance for any help.

towed my tractor/trailer with my cruiser and bought firestone airbags for it because of the squat. gross weight around 8000 lbs. only did that a few times before i got my tundra and pulled the air bags after the purchase because of how harsh the cruiser rode unloaded, even with 5 lbs in the bags. no experience with hitch equalizer. hope that helps.

With full load in the LC and 700lbs on the hitch it will drop. Look into air bags, or hitch equalizer, or both. With a newer 25ft loaded Airstream you are hitting the limit on the towing capacity of the LC. The problem lies with a shorter wheelbase than your run of the mill F-150, Tundra or other long wheel base tow vehicles. Causes it to have bit more unstable behavior.

Perhaps towing without a full load of water until you get closer to your destination? I'm not sure if that is practical or not, but that would shave a lot off your weight.

Check out the 80 series in this photo. If it can tow what seems to be about a 25'-27' Airstream, you should be able too as well. This is from the Airstream website. The 80 series is rated about 4500 lbs towing, no idea if this caused any damage to his 80 or if that was a very wobbly drive with an even shorter wheelbase
