Ok folks I'm looking to set up a place, date and time for our 1st annual Club meet and greet! Would like to make this into an over niter with the option as a day trip for those with tougher schedules. So lets take some request for some feed back.:D

Place:
Date :
Time :
Who :
oh and who is bringing what?
:beer::

Place: Pozo trails, Garcia Ridge, then back to my place in Atascadero for a BBQ and camp out. ( I have 2.5 acres)
Date: any weekend except Aug 24th(Huckfest-Pismo) and Sept 21(anniversary)
Time: I work until 3 everyday but with enough notice could get an entire day off
Who: local cruiser fanatics and their families :D

If we do it at my house, I'll supply the BBQ and meats. And I'll cook it too!
Everyone bring a potluck style dish and their favorite beverages....

This would work for me :D Let's get some more people to chime in and then work on a set date... Might want to wait for it to cool down a little tho. 100+ degrees on the trail doesn't appeal to me right now LOL.

Why not we have AC?!?! :) seriously though I agree, maybe mid Sept?
No AC since Panamint last year, Had to cut the belt off because it was a frayed and havent replaced it yet...Also it was intermintent might need a recharge and a new Blue Fan hub:D

Well you better get on that **** son! Can't have your :princess:'s sweating in the 80!
HA LOL. :D :princess: is a cold body, she loves the heat... As for me I think in my previous life I was an Eskimo cause I hate the heat. 70* is as hot as I like it unless I'm in the water!

I'm in.

I just got the AC working in Knuckles. Works in the FZJ80 too and the FJ40 has no roof or doors so bring on the heat!

I too will be at the HuckFest with some family and friends. Gonna make a day of it. I will be driving my big ole F250 out there and bringing my 10x10 awning and
some lawn chairs. plus I will have plenty of food and (adult) beverage. So come on by and hang out with us if any of you guys want!

Thanks guys for getting the Cruiser ball rolling again on the Central Coast. I'll have to try and catch up in a few months - right now I'm in the middle of having both knees replaced, so there's not much but rehab in my immediate future. Mack

Hey Mack good to hear from you :D I hope your surgery goes well and we wish you a speedy recovery... We got a few things planned so I'm sure we will all get to meet up here pretty soon

By the powers of the Great Beyond I russurect this thread!

Hi all,

New to this forum and the cruiser scene. Just picked up a fun 74 this last weekend that needs some work. As this is my early honeymoon stage of owning a land cruiser in need of repair i would love to meetup with a group, talk toys and look at their 40's.

as an enticement I brew beer. now who wants to be my friend?:hhmm:

Me! You work at a brewery or do your own at home? I used to brew and have been planning on getting back into it. As soon as we pick a date for the meet and greet we'll have to meet you and your beer, I mean FJ40! :D
Oh and welcome to CCLC!

I brew at home, and need to do two batches soon. My acquisition of the fj40 has set me back a bit. Got a 10 gal brew setup and a 6 tap(5 gal corny keg) kegerator. If I can get something brewed soon, I'lll bring some to a meeting. Only fair since I'll be asking questions about cruisers till I'm blue in the face. Beer will grease you answer machines. :D

I think I still have a gallon growler of blonde ale that I can set aside.

Also..... beer IS good. That's how I get my daily dose of grains.

I don't have a Cruser (yet) but i've been running a first gen Toyota truck for the last few years. The last was Rubithon, and the next is Marlin's Roundup next weekend. I live in Atascadero, and would like to wheel with some Toyota owners in the area. Bob.

Well you already have what WE consider to be the best type of 4x4 - TOYOTA. We look forward to meeting you and your truck soon Bob.

Just wanted to let anyone know we're having a winter meet and greet on Dec 14th. I started a new thread in the clubhouse with details. Let us know if you can attend!
