G’day everyone.
Have a question about 1hz Conrod bearings.
I bought a 2003 HZJ79 a little while ago, it had been rolled and they had attempted to start it with oil on top of the pistons and bent one rod and wrecked that piston.

I’ve bought a new genuine piston. The rods I have, have ‘7202’ stamped on the side. I also have a full set of rods out of a HZJ80 1hz- which have ‘8292’ stamped on them. What do these numbers mean?

I see on Toyodiy the Conrod bearings are listed as, Std Mark 1/Mark 2/Mark 3 etc.
Do I need the Mark 2 bearings to put 1 of the 8292 rods into my 1hz? (Assuming they are the same weight as the rods already in my motor).

Thanks, Sam

I'm not sure sorry Onur, I should be able to find out if required?

It would help. But not necessary.

Those markings on forged/cast parts usually indicate the date of manufacture. Usually, not always.

Having the date of the HZJ80 would allow for correlation.
