A week or so before Christmas I read some threads about a guy who made skidplates. I believe he was in Texas, and was offering custom skidplates for about $700 for all three. This person had photos of his product and of a huge metal press, and a lot of prospective buyers. He is an independent.
I forgot his name and of course didn't bookmark his site. I just spent the last two hours going through the Tacoma-related forums and searching the internet for "skidplates" but didn't find him.
