Folks....act quickly. I have the ability to buy my beloved truck back from teh insurance company. It is a 1997 Lexus LX450. I'm the second owner. I bought it with about 60K miles in 2000/2001 and it now has approximately 145k miles. The truck has been well maintained (no head gasket replacement or known issues). It has an ARB winch bar (year old), 285 REVO's with 5-7K miles, and an OME stock spring kit (two years). Color is dark green. It does not have lockers. Condition is very good (paint looks better than my 2002 BMW).
There is a small amount of rust visible at the front underside lip of the hood. I religiously coat the bottm of the truck with WD-40 or PB Blaster after the spring cleaning and before winter. The DS rear quarter (including lift and tailgates are trashed).

Please PM me ASAP if you are seriously interested. The truck will need to be picked-up outside of Syracuse, NY by June 19th.

Interested in ARB bar - price?? Also interested in weatherstripping that goes around passenger door opening and rubber strip that goes around the top of the passenger side mud flap.

are you looking to part this truck out or to sell it whole?

just did a mapquest from my place to yours 220 miles - 3.5 hours each way

road trip with a trailer . . . :hhmm:

could you post some pictures please

thanks!

Sorry I forgot to state that I do not have the time or facililities to part the truck out. I will list the ARB if I take it off the truck.

Thanks.

I will post some pictures tonight.

If you change your mind to part out, I will take front and rear axles.

Ouch, that sucks.

It being a 97, you should be getting a enough for a replacement if you have decent insurance.
Being in NY, it's too far for me.

All,

My wife has decided that she would like to have the truck repaired. It will cost less than $6k (using some donor parts from my 1995 LC) so it seems like the "right" thing to do. Pictures to follow!

Nice looking truck.

I'm glad to here your going to fix it.
I have a rust free fj80 body if you end up needing a rear panel let me now. Good luck with the rebuild.
