1997 driveshaft problems (1 Viewer)

I have a 1997 Chevy Z71 with a 4L60 trans and I have dented the driveshaft of the truck pretty bad I was wondering if I could put a 2500 4x4 Chevy's driveshaft on the truck or if anyone knows where I could get a tougher driveshaft I would love the help

Most 2500's have the 4L80E
As far as I know the trans output shaft is bigger on those drive lines

I've looked at a lot of junk yards but I just don't want to keep denting and crushing my driveshaft and just buying a new one I was really hopeing to find one that is not as big with wise just a little bit smaller and made out of something with less give

Well I Just got a driveshaft from a 98 for my 97 and it works great now now I have to just watch what I'm doing now

There are driveline shops that will build a shaft to your specifications. Maybe you should try that.
