Hey everybody, Replacing the thermostat on my 1hdt. When I removed it there was a round gasket in addition to the oring around the thermostat itself. In any diagram I can find that gasket is not present. Any thoughts on replacing it or should I reinstall as shown in the toyota parts diagrams, oring on thermostat and then just close her up? Cant find a part number and search results in nothing for a 1hdt for that type of gasket. Any input or help here would be appreciated. Photos below are of the parts diagram and the second is of the gasket that was installed when I removed it that I cant seem to source. Figuring they just put one on at some point but is it needed.

There is no other gasket other than the 16346-66020 rubber ring around the thermostat.

Thanks Beno. The only thing that has me thinking if the surfaces dont mate well and it was leaking so they added a gasket to seal it better. Hate to put it all back together and that be the case.

Won’t know till you mate them and out some water through it.

You can always buy a new pipe.
