Here's a rough list of what has been done to the truck over the last two years for a total over $11k. I have all the actual receipts from the mechanics I’m happy to share should you like to see them first hand.
The body shows just under 245k
the motor at 23k
The automatic trans was just completely rebuilt 10 months ago
All work done by legit mechanics…
The motor swap was done by a mechanic in Dallas
The trans rebuild work and some fine tuning done by Merl at Classic Cruisers (the Toyota landcruiser specialist in Salida)
some oddball work at Lake Highlands Automotive in Dallas TX
the alternator and battery work at Hudson Chevy in Silverthorne.
A couple things that don’t work…
The check engine light will sometimes dimly flicker since the engine swap as well as the trans temp light is always on since the conversion. The tach doesn't work since the swap.
A couple things that do…
Most/all other electronics work just fine on the vehicle inc. the pwr windows, antenna, dash lights/gauges with the exception of the temp gauge but there was an aftermarket temp gauge added.
The truck also has an Alpine stereo system with USB/ipod hookups and a 200 watt amp under the rear seat with a box/single speaker in the back

$4080, April 5, 2011 transmission work to complete swap
$212, April 15, 2011 a/c leak and brake light work
$112, May 11, 2011 rewire D/S masterswitch
$245, June 18, 2011 temp gauge
$318, Aug 4, 2011 new mastercyclinder and brake flush
$780, Sept 1, 2011 ac line replacement and recharge, replace front brake hoses, replace outer tie rods, alignment

$949, Dec 13, 2011 replace front brake pads, calipers and rotors, new front drivers side wheel bearing
