1987 xt 600

I was going to look at this *Best offer takes -XT 600-Yamaha* when the guy email me back. It has a broken decompression cable any thoughts? Or thoughts in general? Btw I am a motorcycle newb. I will be taking the motorcycle safety course this summer and am 5'9" and 185 lbs.

the comp. cable is about a 20 min. job. i have an '84 xt600. great bike, real simple and reliable, not terribly heavy and has enough ass to hold its own on the highway, it's like the fj40 of motorcycles. not a bad unit for a beginner. if it's in good nick, $1,200 isn't a terrible price. if you were to swing by with 10 $100 bills in hand...

a smaller bike would be better for learning, especially if you're looking to do off road stuff.

Sounds like it is sold anyways. I was wanting to do on and off road. I was wanting to be under $2000 so that is kind of limiting up here. Gladly if you know about anything I would be interested as you are not that far all things considered.
