Do believe so.....

Yep. That is Charla's rig. I have a couple of folks here very interested in it at the moment.

I told one of the potential buyers here in Anchorage that I would do the leg work for him on the importing if he buys this Rig from the Rat. So I was checking with EPA and Customs for the proper forms today. For future reference... the losers at EPA were worst than useless. But the folks at customs were great and even had the EPA forms that the EPA droids told me that they could not get except from Washington!

I was amazed at how simple it looks to be to import this rig. :)

Thanks guys for the comments and the bumps, and not to mention the email inquiries I've received! :) And Mark, thank you for looking into the required import paperwork.

I've added a few more pics to the album linked in my original post - including the engine and interior shots I promised I'd post.

Incidentally, the 73 is undergoing open heart surgery tomorrow which sees the Webasto being removed and put into the 77. Should be fun! :)

That Craigslist link that Cruiseninak posted is dead. Some jerk keeps flagging my ad there. This is the current one. Nothing in it that is not in the Rat's post at the top except a couple more pics from her gallery.

Ms. Puke
I like your rig as it doesn't have a snorkle.
Your description doesn't mention lockers, so I'll presume the diffs are open.
Body looks good. Any rust?
Good luck with a speedy sale!

Mr. P. B,

Thank you. As far as I'm concerned, there is no need to put a snorkel on a DD... unless perhaps you live on an island and need to commute to work during non-winter months.

The diffs are indeed open.

Body is dent free. Slight rust along the bottom of the front doors. Small area in each of the front door jams, and small spot on the hood. No real concerns. I'll PM you a link to some pics of the body. I could go ahead and get some body work done; however, I'd rather the next owner see the truck as is so s/he will know I'm not trying to cover anything up with a fresh coat of paint.

Thanks,
Ms. Puke

Bump for an awesome named rig!!!;)

Front axle seal/bearing job has been completed. The truck is now sporting flashy new Marlin seals as a result.:cheers:

Any rust?
Thanks
Can you please paste some more pics.
Thanks

Well, the good news is that I'm ok. I'm a little bruised up, but for the most part am fine. The 73, on the other hand....

Long story short...
This morning I was heading off to the shop at work in the 73. Hit a moose. Stupid bastard came up out of a ditch near a creek. The roads were slick, I couldn't stop, and hit him with the LH side of the truck (hit his legs and he kinda fell onto the hood of the truck). I ended up in the ditch/ravine by the creek.

Anyway, not sure what's gonna happen with the truck. It got towed to a lot. ICBC is going to inspect it in a week or so, but seeing as it's an import, they told me that it's most likely gonna get written off.

Maybe I can buy it back from them... but I don't know. If I do get it back, watch for a parts thread.

Least I have some nice pics of it still....

C.
