This rig is still FS.
I went to look at her 2 days ago for a mudder in Boise.
I would give it an good to excellent shape for the inside and outside. Everything seems to work and be original. There is no rust as this was a Bay area CA rig/one owner.
Engine and drivetrain get an average rating. Berfs need rebuilding. Pan arch gasket, valve cover gasket and maybe some cam seals need replacing. Overall pretty darn nice for a 25 year old rig.
It started right up after I pulled on the choke knob
I did not drive it since it was in the back of the warehouse and hard to get out.
I would say if you want an original 60 series then this is well worth a look. If you want a LC then spend a little more an get an 80 series.
I took some pics and can email them to interested folks. Owner seems like a straight shooter no BS.
Hey jditom - I talked to the guy who owns the rig earlier today, he basically told me he doesn't know anything about LC's but it was clean. I'm going to make some arrangements to catch a ride down to Bend this weekend to buy this thing if it's tip top. I'd buy you a beer if you can give me some actual eyes on it before I get down there and save me a 6 hour drive. The interior floors look like it has gotten soaked or jacked up at some point, I don't want to get there with a pocket o'cash and have the floorboards be rusted out. You think we could work something out?
it could be from when it was detailed? more than likely they steamed cleaned the carpets/upholstery and didn't do a good job or there was some serious stains that didn't lift. heck it still might have been wet when they took the pictures? I'll be in Bend too this weekend trying to fit in some boarding with a little fj60 shopping. Wanna grab a beer and maybe a ride back?
I'm game for sure. I live on the west side of the cascades though, I say you're around Spokane-ish? Either way I'll bring my board and catch some powder and a beer with ya man.
