Bezel

i wonder if the bezel situation is because
the tub is a replacement?

Tub seems to be a correct match with the 79+ running boards, it is just the front and aprons are wrong. Besides the bezel being wrong and upside down, the front grill/lights piece is completely different on a round bezel cruiser as opposed to a square bezel cruiser. Also, no side apron markers on a 79+.

JDM vehicles may or may not meet US expectations when examined for 'correctness'.

I'd probably be okay with that if it weren't for replacement tub and the $26,000 price tag. For that money, I'd prefer to have it 'correct'.

Toyota in the grill is pre 74 too. He might have screwed up the year???

Well gents that is the proper year of the vehicle. It is a japanese import and whoever owned it in japan liked the early front clip and the vintage scripts. But I assure you that it is a beautiful truck .

Yep, the P.O. in Japan before restoration had mixed it up a bit. Personally I like the look of it better with this round bezel, but if historical accuracy is important switching to an orig bezel is no biggy. But doh! the bezel is indeed on upside down. Thanks for pointing it out.

One thing I really like about this one is the full-floating rear, which are seen very rarely in JDM BJ41s.
