I was out scouting for FJ43's to export and came across this early Nissan. I could not pass it up and put it under contract. Pilot owned and restored under 5 years ago.

Super cool truck. 3 spd. all drum brakes. no power steering.

Another pic. My first truck was a 1986 king cab V6 "hardbody". put over 100,000 miles as a college kid.

This Patrol is too cool. Has the 2500mm or 100 inch medium wheelbase. about a 10 passenger truck.

My mechanic will go over. New tires and exhaust and some small upgrades and it goes to Florida.

Any Patrol experts please chime off if the silver painted steel wheels are the correct color??? i think so.

Hello,

It looks like a late model (1980 - 1981) Patrol. The separate turn lights and three wipers are from that time.

It is a 1979. maybe a changeover year issue. I just bought the truck and have been driving it around. no power steering and no power brakes tough in the crowded Colombian city. i just added new power brakes and soon will add the power steering. People are really going nuts over the truck down here. Colombians really appreciate nicely restored classic cars.

Completed truck photos. Patrol is in Miami port now and I am anxious to soon be driving what I believe is one of 10 or less of these medium wheelbase soft top Patrols in the entire US. I added power brakes and power steering. Truck drives fantastic. Truck is under deposit to classic car dealer so I guess I won't get to play with it much in Florida. I spent month or so going over this truck with my shops down there. Was hard on me because I had never done a Patrol before. I hope to do more Patrols soon.

The Nissan motor really really impressed me. This blue Patrol pulls up the Colombian 8000 foot mountain road much quicker than my 81 red FJ43. Biggest downside is the original bench is very tight versus the more comfortable Land Cruiser.

FYI we spent a week polishing, repairing dents and dings on the five year old paint. You can see how nice it is in this photo. I love the tires if anyone wants to buy Maxxis Big Horn Mud Tires for their Cruiser I highly recommend them. They ride very well for how aggressive they look. Those are 245/75/16s around 31 inches. That is the largest you can put on a stock Patrol because the rear fender well is tighter than the cruisers.

There are three Patrols on craigslist for sale right now.

I have three 60's Nissan patrol 4x4's. One is an original 1965 soft top(very rare) runs and drives great for what it is. Body is solid but has dings and dents. Needs windshield seal, I have a new windshield. The other two are a 1965 and 67 hard tops. The green 67 runs and drives and the 65 will run but needs the starter rebuilt and is missing the radiator. They are both filled to the top with extra parts. Everything from doors to engine internals. There are enough parts to rebuild all three then some. Im asking $6400obo for everything or $3300obo for the soft top and $2400 for the green 67 and $1900 for the tan and red hard top. Call or text for more info.
