The wife spotted a '79 40 in what she described as really good condition. Truck was located in Ringoes, NJ. I went to look at it this evening, but evidently, the owner drives it to and from work, and just plants in on the street during work hours--it was gone when I got there. Asking price is $11K.
I have not seen this truck myself since it was not there when I went to look tonight, but for $11K it better be in pretty good shape! Wife thinks the owner actually dropped the price from some higer amount. Don't know what's in it or how "nice" it is, but if anyone is looking for a restored truck in central NJ, I'd be happy to give it a lookover for you. Color as best as I can get from wifey is a tan metalic color, maybe similar to the '97 80 series Desert Dune if that means anything to you. Obviously not original paint.
