I need to sell this Land Cruiser because I inherited a jeep - am getting older - and don’t use it. Also because it has burned out two ignition modules and I cannot find a mechanic on Martha’s Vineyard who can ID the problem. I just don’t have time or patience for it anymore. It's running fine now.
I sent a few pictures and the below description from the previous owner to David Stracher at Yankee Toys and got the following response to my question about price.
“Ok so I threw your email over to a few guys I know and besides drooling over your 40, we all agreed that you have some great photos and probably some very interesting stories...
Definitely post it to Yankeetoys and Gotham City Land Cruiser (GCLC, GCLC Home ), also Craigslist and the boards over at ih8tmud.com (and maybe Specter off-road Specter Off-Road, Inc.-Landcruiser Parts & Accessories )
As for price, I am not sure what you are thinking but based solely on the description and 2 photos, the consensus was probably 9-12k but poke around at ih8mud and ebay and specter to see what similar vehicles are selling for.

1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser specs:
This Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser has been restored by the former owner including more than $12,500 in parts and labor to date. The truck has gone through a frame-off restoration (by last owner) in which a new aluminum tub (or body) was added to a repainted frame along with shocks, springs, fenders, front cowl, powder-coated bumpers and roll bars, and misc. doors (which were obviously used doors). *The vehicle has been painted. It has an AM/FM/CD installed. And in 2002 it had a used transmission and transfer case installed by the current owner.
