I did not know that, basically what happened was then I bought the truck everything was wrong with it if I scroll back enough in my album I’ll find the photos but basically my frame was bent on the 74 and the owner who sold it to me never told me that it was bent or in an accident before, and I had to find a donor frame, I welded off the vin from my frame into this frame, I think it’s a early 70s or late 60s frame I picked up … that’s good to know tho I’ll find out what to do next to fix this haha
You are re-rebuilding the purple truck that I did the carb on a decade ago?

Do you know any shops that could do that job well?
I do know of one shop, but there's only one machine shop near me. I bet any shop that can do a chevy straight 6 can do an F. Assuming they can get parts.
Are you going to use a local shop or crate it up and mail it?

I’m going to take it to a local shop probably, I cleaned it up today a bit

Awesome work! Glad to see you're sticking with the F motor. I have seen those F motors, dialed in, be absolutely capable and last for years. Subscribed!
Nice! Yes I thought why buy a reman 2F for $7k or get a v8 for 10k erod ls3 when I can just run this thing for a bit more and enjoy it
It ran really good before too so I’m just tearing up the little things and going to clean it up

I’m taking the old parts to do a zinc coating on the oil pan and valve cover

Put it on a Daytona engine hoist or whatever that thing is called, it has a cool gear you can turn the engine at any angle you want, I bought the seal set too from specter off road nice thing is I only live 10 minutes from them so I can go get parts.

Tomorrow I’m going to take the valve cover and oil pan to acid dip / black zinc it or some type of nice finish to it

I remember someone sells the original looking stickers for the engine forgot who it was

Btw the inside of the engine looks super clean I’ll take more detailed photos soon
