Dear fellow mudders, I have finally faced the reality that I do not have time for this restoration. I bought a running 1970 FJ40 with the body off and disassembled. It needs to go to the right person, hopefully a mud member.
Here is the sale scenario:
1) $600 Rolling chassis on 33" tires with a running 1F motor (rebuilt Aisin carb), transmission, transfer case and axles, brakes, radiator, steering wheel (all of which appear to be original. Chassis has some rust midframe where it typically occurs and is fully repairable. This truck has a heavy duty towbar and is ready to tow. Yes, I have a title and ID plates. Extra set of 31" mud tires on rims included.
2) $500 for all of the following: nice clean hood, roof, side doors, rear doors(1/2 and ambi), hard top sides, glass (minus front windshield glass), cowl (no gage cluster), bezel on bezel headlight thing, gas tank, tub and tub aluminum diamond plate panels. Also included, alternator, brake master and clutch slave. I do not have front or mid floor panels. All body panels, doors have rust, tub is really bad and has metal diamond plate welded into it.
