Returning to the origin of that 45. There is plenty of inspiration here. I hope the land of enchantment speaks to you.

Oh wow, I forgot about that.

New Mexico is written into the source code of this build at every level.

You may have noticed that the brake booster disappeared. No idea what we’re doing for brakes yet,

A South African solution to mount a booster with the support rib (on RHD vehicles at least) is to use a booster from a Mazda 323 (of all things). It fits flush against the firewall without disturbing the support rib.

At least it's of Japanese origin.

Cam has a plan……he just had to go and receive the message

That cool electric boosted MC that @c2dfj45 put in his FJ45 was a slick solution!

We've got a couple early builds that will be getting the ABS Powerbrake master on them. Cool setup. A little bit of a learning curve on them but I think we have them figured out.

Why not just graft a later model firewall rib in like has been done before. Looks right is factory and solves your fitment issues.

More later, but clues in Mew Mexico pointed to Colorado

…where I met these two at the UFO Observatory in Hooper. They said to have a look around the Observatory, and I would find answers for my quest.

Wonder what answers you’d get at Burning Man? Probably similar.

Wife and I headed to John’s today to pick up a set of Metal Tech sliders for the 1999 100.

Had to grab a pic of this beautiful 45. Thanks for the tour…looking forward to Cam’s return from out west and a completed Rotunda!

We won’t talk much about events in New Mexico, but as mentioned earlier, we received a clear signal to continue to Colorado in search of answers in our quest for the perfect brake booster solution.

On Father’s Day, after a delicious carne adovada breakfast burrito in Santa Fe, we made a beeline to the UFO Observatory in Hooper, CO.

The UFO Observatory was a mixed experience. At first glance, it seemed like a promising stop. But when I got out and checked it out, I felt letdown that it was just a tourist trap :foreshadowing:

This was just a collection of cool junk.

I did, however, sit up in the observatory for as long as my family (who was waiting in the truck) could take.
