For Sale 1963 VW Notchback

1963 Notchback, L390 Gulf Blue, push button dash, number matching 1500 single port motor, rear pop out windows, type 1 trans., Empi shifter, new BRM copy wheels, new tires, front end rebuilt (new ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks) side draft carb, have dual solex carbs and most linkage, extra set of bumpers, have interior door panels (do not have arm rests or top door trim), never been hit all original car.

I have the original bill of sale from Brussels Belgium (April 2, 1963) original motor swapped out by VW on September 17, 1964 per original work order. This model VW was never sold in the US, they were imported by private party. This one made to the US from Belgium to San Jose CA, then down to So. Cal.

This is a great looking, great running, very rare car. Car is located in Buena Park Ca. $7000. or best.

Forgot to add the car has been converted to 12v. New clutch, pressure plate and 12v flywheel.

Wow, you actually own something this cool and now you're selling it? Well, I had a 63 pushbutton Notch many years ago, sold it like you're doing to yours now, and look how I turned out. What could possibly go wrong?

Some of the pics show a cracked dash ....other pics look like the dash is pristine..?? Did you replace the dash, or are these pics of different vintages, etc ??? Just curious....

Too bad you are so far away........

BTW, I love those Notchbacks...one of the coolest VW's ever..


I had a 1967 squareback way back when...... I drove it all around Big Bear Lake area on the fire roads. Went like a champ...and it was stock !!
Still miss it.....still miss Big Bear too :doh:
