I might have acouple more tin cups around. I know I have two that I had listed with all my other brake parts but I’ll dig thru some more boxes to see if I have any extra tin cups, if your going that route atleast instead of those plastic reservoirs. Did you take the residual valve out of a brake master and throw your clutch cap or rebuild A clutch master?

Calling this a win.
303 stainless.
This evening I'll fluff and buff it to a good shine and break some of the edges.

I'd say so. Well done.

Dan are you familiar with hood spears made of different materials? By accident I noticed some will hold a magnet while some will not.

Haven't been following this thread. I have a cowl in the early two hundreds and while cutout for a aftermarket ashtray those four holes are still there. I also have another 61 FJ40s close to the mid nine hundreds and it does not have those holes. Parts I noticed that only come on 61 production FJ40 is carry over from FJ25s are front bumper, large fuel fill cap with the protector cover, air intake on the left apron. The intake was no longer on the newer of the 61s. Few things I've noticed only on 61 FJ40s is rear jump seats with arm rest on both sides that are shorter than the arms are the FJ25s. Also the rear license plate bracket has two holes for license plate not the slots with the sliding nuts. Spacing was not correct for US license plates.

I just checked 10 trucks between 1958 and 1971. It was 50/50. A couple may be repros because they look really shiny and not dented or pitted. there was no pattern to magnetic/non magnetic.

62-63 I believe, both my 62s are centered my 63 has 60 axles so can’t help on that but I believe 63 was last year of centered rear third.

My early ‘63 is centered

The museum's 1962 is centered.

I think the change was half way through 1963. I have a mid 63 that has the off set differential.

The stamped bezel went away sometime n '63. We have a later '63 fixed-roof pickup with a plain bezel and an offset rear diff. Does your '63 have a stamped bezel?

Mine should have one but someone with a ‘72 is probably driving around with it - “original” 😡.

Oops, I forgot, mud is a funny place. 😂

I think the stamped bezel went away at the same time. Mine did not come with one.

Kinda thinking the same thing. That's why I was curious.

Dropped the windshield frame and old glass off at my glass guy to cut and install a new one.

Is that hood spear something you are considering making more of for sale? That is a pretty cool piece. CNC machined?

I wasnt planning on it.
they would be over 300 bucks, and I'm not excited about dealing with people complaining that it scratched paint or doesn't fit their hood.

No kidding.
