What’s the construction of that? Looks almost like leather disks sown to something, hard to tell from the pic. And it looks like it physically takes up more volume in the bowl than the current one. But maybe that’s just an illusion from the pic. Did other makers (Chevy,..,) use something like this back in the day?

I might be able to pick the frame up towards the end of the week...its been a long two weeks.....but i heard that before

Running out of stuff to clean up. Still no word on the chassis.
Soaking this guy in 30% vinegar in hopes of freeing up the clamps.

Trying not to put much on the tub since I need to manhandle it on to the chassis at some point, but running out of patience.

This was a success.
Dipped this guy several times prior with no luck, but today was the day.
The gas fill shroud is coming along well also, 3 of 4 clamp hinges are now free swinging.
edit- ending the year on a high note, all four clamps are free.

Happy 2025 Brian ,,,,!

looking sharper then my Milwaukie hook blade switch blade ...!

- did you do anything to both new masters prior to mounting them ? as in are they straight out of the Orange & Blue ASCO parts boxes yo the firewall ?

- did you install oem paper triangle gaskets between them and the firewall ?

- i have learned well over a longer sands of TEq time , that taking a few extra outside the box surface treatment steps now , will prove to be a Long-Term service life benefit factor

- what is the crush-ring media between the big-azz copper hex end plug and the cast iron chassis black DTM main bodies ? copper , aluminum or steel ?

- the back sides are bare cast iron , correct ? as in the triangle back face now touching the metal firewalls right ?

- don't you dare pour a drop of Simple-Simon conventual DOT-3 yet ...........please .....

- i will provide you the FAQ's on why installing only VALVOLINE's Fully Synthetic DOT3 / DOT4 Hybrid fluid in will now become your forever brake & clutch fluid ...... forever ... :wrench: :wrench::wrench:

- i do have NOS OEM Brass fittings for the top-hat of your PLANT A-11 installed original DENKI set-up there .......

- there is nothing like hitting that glass bowl here on new years day , they can be Mirrored out to chrome like bling too , if you have a 6" bench grinder cotton flapper wheel and a 2-3 part stepper-cream system ......

Are the fire wall seal/gasket/packing for the clutch and brake masters available anywhere, or am I going to have to get creative?

Our 1962 does not have a tag there. I checked the back side and I do not see filled holes. The glovebox door on ours has the shifting instructions. If yours has shifting instructions on the glove box door that would just about have to be tire pressure.
