I think you would just have to get a newer tie rod and relay rod. And maybe a new knuckle arms??, I cant remember if 63+ TRE will fit in the early knuckle arms.Sooo.....
I just figured out what the difference is between the early tie rod ends and the 63 and up Tres.

It seems that I can add a washer or two under the castle nut and might be fine.iirc, i just used a newer tie rod assembly on annie and all was fine
Dont forget the felt padding on the gas tank straps.Gas tank and passenger seat are in for real now.

You are going to need some sort of damper between these straps. Just general vibrations will wear a hole. Even an old rubber bike tube cut up will work. Looking good though!I don't want something in there that's going to absorb moisture and stay wet.....it will get rained on during the summer.
Here is parts book exploded view. I can get some of actual linkage pictures if needed.can someone post a few pictures of the linkage arrangement for the windshield vent?
