Knuckles wrapped up.
Moving on to fitting the front fenders. While they "fit" just fine, they both have a twist to them.

Yours would have been double flare not bubble flare. 9mm flare nuts.
Guess I shouldn't have been terribly surprised when the brake line kit showed up with the left rear axle line bent for an offset axle housing...and about 4 inches longer than I needed.
I'm actually more mad that the flare kit i bought from horrible freight actually seems to have worked pretty well.

Working on cleaning a set of wheels up. Unfortunately I don't think many of the oe wheels it showed up with will be salvageable...maybe one for the spare. Tires are beginning to show up.
Brake lines are run, wheel cylinders replaced. Not going to fill and bleed yet, will likely want to remove a few to get the engine in it.

And now all body work on the front end is finished.
With any luck, by the weekend it will be sitting on its own four wheels and tires.

Beautiful Easter Sunday afternoon in the neighborhood.
I ended up taking more out of the drivers side, not due to rust but a rust repair attempt from decades before. Someone tried to braze a patch on .....it didn't go well...there had been a fair amount of fiberglass covering it. Between the warped tin and ample amounts of yellow metal deposits that would have interfered with the patch I was originally going to go with..just removing that mess and doing a larger repair was the easier approach. They didn't mess with the passenger side after their flop on the ds, so my repair was just a strip over the rear sill.

Me and the blue box had a real zen moment.
I was expecting to need more glazing puddy to hide my shame.

Also did some drawing and cut a test to verify the profile for tread on the running boards...now i need to reduce it by about an 1/8" all around.
If I recall it was a white or light grey textured rubber?
