Im having my rims sand blaster and powder coated. i put a deposit on bridgetone A/T K02 33/10.5/15. America tires rep is now telling me that they cant put those tires on my 5.5" rims..Any advice would be appreciated.

Go to another company and ask them?

I guess all those people running 10.50's for 40 years are idiots and your tire man is a genius? Seriously, it's all about CYA nowadays. no one wants to responsible for for the 1 in 10 million times a tire flies off the rim. As Mudder said, go elsewhere. Worse case scenario, remove the wheels, take them to the tire shop and tell them it's for an old trailer used to carry manure around the farm.:hillbilly:

Mount them yourself and then take rhem somewhere to be balanced.

A truck tire is easy to put on the rim. No machine required. Lube it up a shove it over the rim. Nothing like low profile car tires.....

Hi all,

Normally I'd suggest a 9.5 inch wide tire for a 5.5 inch wide rim, 10.5 inch wide for 6 to 7 inch wheels, 12.5 inch wide for 7 or 8 inch wide rims, etc.

Try talking to the tire store manager? Worst come to worse take the tires and wheels to a small, independent tires shop; chances are they will mount them for you.

Good luck,

Alan
